my friends iguana

my friend said his iguana sometimes has crusty stuff around its lip in the morning, only started a few months ago, and twice where the crusty stuff is it bleeds. he said it only bleeds a little bit though and stops. but he sent me a picture and said the top lip is starting to extend over the bottum lip. hes going to take it to a vet but hes wondering what is wrong.

Well could be some mouth rot, from rubbing onto something a lot.
Or could be an *abses* not sure about spelling. But either way, get a test done by the vet, and put some polisporin on it.

im not a expert but this is what i think it is. it might be the first signs of mbd/metabolic bone disease which happens when theres a lack of calcium or/and uv light, the white stuff could be salt that the iguana sneezes out.
