If she contnuies to dig then yes i would make her a lay box just incase. There are several ways to do this, i will use mine as an example. I mix sand and nice clean potting soil(no additives like perilite) mix those 2 with some water until your able to make a little burrow with your hands with out it being to hard or crumbiling. this way the female can make her self a nice little burrow (if she is gravid).

If she is gravid and does lay eggs that's where you can use vermiculite. Gently, i mean gently dig up the eggs and place them in a tray of vermiculite. (in little indents you make in the vermiculite) then place them in a incubator or a temp. controled room. Then it's waiting time.
