My Baby!

I just wanted to share some pictures that I finally just took this morning of the baby red tail we got a week ago. Butter was born October 30, 2003. There were 29 babies in the batch and all are still alive and doing well. Anyway, here's a few pictures. To see them all please go to http://reptiles.majicksprings.com/butter.html

Very nice, but that animal needs a meal pretty quick. And/or a drink of water. Better yet, a F/T rat fuzzy that was thawed in water.

Why do you say that? I have been feeding him/her. He ate once for the person I got him/her from and he's eaten once for me as well. I've had him now 1 1/2 weeks. S/He's got a full water bowl in his/her enclosure.

Congrats on the new addition I agree with Jeff that a meal would be a good idea, he looks a bit thin and dehydrated from what I can see...

He just looks a little thin and dehydrated, like Linds said. Maybe, maybe not. Its also recommended to feed more often than every 2 weeks, ESPECIALLY for a baby boa (they literally grow like weeds), so that would explain his thinness.

I concur with Jeff and Linds, that little one could use some fattening. I'd feed it once a week at most, and give it a good sized prey item no smaller than a large hopper mouse or small adult mouse.

But, that's a killer tail, and nice dorsal patterns. It'll be a great looking boa when it gets some girth!
