Question Halogen Bulbs

Can I use halogen bulbs in my heat lamps for my beardies? I have been using regular light bulbs in heat lamp domes but I though that a halogen flood light style bulb might give me a more focused heat area.

You sure can, but make doubly sure they cannot get too close as the bulbs do burn much hotter than incandescents.

As far as heat, they work great. I used them before for a big basking area with certain lizard species. Again, just make sure no animal can come in contact with them as they get super hot. Good lights may be spendier, but they do bring out some nicer colors in your herps.
