Wow, maybe you should go back to the 'other' forum with that attitude...
Jacob; you're probably just being paranoid. I can't see a bp getting darker in a matter of weeks.

I've noticed that huxley's sides have more speckling of brown, but his top is still pretty light. it's possible that she is getting darker, but is it possible that it is just the light that you're looking at her in? Huxley often looks duller under my room lights than he does in the hallway, for whatever reason.

what attitude? and what other forum. i was simply asking opinions, im ignorant in the types of illness and disease snakes can have, i wasnt sure if it was something or not.
she had it before and after shed, and it has been becoming more and more prominant, and its not the lights either, iv been inside and outside of my house and in every room, its pretty blatant the diferences in color, i guess shes just getting darker

Well nice to see that Maiden_canada is at least consistant if not informative. I thought it was just me he had a hate on for
Why is it that you feel it necessary to crap on people for asking questions or making posts about thier interests in the proper areas? Seriously, it's getting really old.
Snakehunter: Sorry man, no idea why that might be happening my BP is just a boring old Normal that was over a year old when I got her so I have no idea how much 'darkening' is normal for them from hatchling to adult.

Surprise surprise, Maiden cut his teeth on the 'other' forum. Seems that an attitude is a prerequisite for over there...

Jacob -
The darkening you describe is totally normal. Now that digital cameras are so plentiful, you'd think everyone would document their snakes' appearances over time. If you snapped a photo once a month, or after every shed, you'd really be able to see the changes taking place. But I sure never seem to get it together to keep a consistent record of any of my animals.
I was just noticing yesterday that some of my '03 hatchlings from a particular female were starting to "speckle up" and look more like her suddenly. Actually, of course, it's not so sudden; it happens a bit with every shed. I just hadn't noticed before.

I assume you mean k|N6snake?
I checked it out first but couldn't be bothered with a forum that uses such crappy software. I don't know about the rest of you but I like clicking on a thread title and getting the whole thread, not just the reponses to the last post. *shakes head*

I have a weirder story about pigmentation. My female BP is about a year old now I guess and after a molt I noticed that she had a silver/white circle on her side, about 3/4 of the way down her body. It wasn't that big (smaller in diameter than a dime) but very easy to see. I snapped some pics right away (I still have no idea how to make pics small enough to post so I can't show them right now) and I'm glad I took them now because the circle is gradually turning black. The scales don't look like they have anything wrong with them but this is just weird. I don't know what could possibly cause this but it doesn't seem to be anything to worry about, it really looks like it's going to turn out to be just another black spot on her.

My BP just completed a shed and the lighter areas are breaking up a little. I am not sure of his age but the change has been slow so far.He was darker to begin with .
I still think the world of him and I wouldn't care if he turned purple. Actually having a purple snake would be kinda cool.
Anyway, unless you are super anal retentive about the appearance of your snakes, I wouldn't stress over it. What's going to happen patternwise is going to happen
