"veterinary drug handbook" ..useful???
just wondering if this book has dosages, etc.. for reptiles?
you can preview it on amazon.com, however, it all the dosages shown in the preview are for dogs, cats, rabbits, swine, etc...

I've never read that particular one but in general most vet. pharmaceutical info doesn't include much if any dosage info for reptiles. I suppose you could try emailing the publisher to see if that one contains reptile-specific dosages. For the most part I see more vets refer to this website than any books:

I had a site bookmarked that had dosages for reptiles for every drug imaginable. Erg!!! Just got my computer back yesterday )and its going back in today ) and all the bookmarks are gone

My favorite bookmark is a dead link now anyhow, it was a bigger chart of Elliot Jacobsen's work and contained antiparasitics, antifungals, gout meds, etc. in a lot more detail.
If that's the one you lost, so did everybody else.

Ya I lost it too...I will try to find another ...Grant I have sheets and sheets of doseage data for most of the common meds for reptiles(snakes mostly)...call me and when I see you I can copy them from my medical binders....cool dog...charlie

i was hoping that the book would be useful, as i wanted to add it to my collection, it looked like it was put together fairly well.

I have the big veterinary book of reptile medicine by Mader and the exotic animal formulary by AAHA. They are both very good in my opinion.
