eco earth

ok, this afternoon i went to the store and bought a package of eco-earth coconut husk( the stuff that comes in a brick).

i brought it home and the directions told mne to put it in a bucket with four quarts of water, and leave it for 30mins. after 30mins i took it out and it was just a bigger brick(maybe 4" x 6"x 4" instead of the 2x6x2 it cames as).

Is it suposed to be this way or do I just need to break it apart and let it dry.

and is eco earth ok for a dragon that is not full grown?
mine is about 13"-14".

Yes, break it apart and let it dry thoroughly. A dragon that large should do just fine on it.

I did a small private study with neonates and even 4.25 inch hatchlings didn't have any trouble digesting the cellulose they ingested.

That all depends on temps and humidity in your house. On sunny afternoons I can dry out a batch spread thin on cookie sheets in about 2 hours by putting it underneath a sunny window. Humid or rainy weather it takes more like 3 days.

You can also put it in the oven at 200 degrees. Again, spread it out thinly on a cookie sheet and shake it out every few minutes. It usually takes about a half hour that way.
