Pics for Invictus and Crimsonking

Okay I was cleaning up today and thought that I'll just snap two snakes. 1) For Invictus 2) For Crimsonking

Invictus,
This is the actual animal that you'll be getting after the site is done and all. I am just way too lazy to do my work...lol...hope you like him.

He was born really tiny. He couldn't even get a pinky head in...had to force feed him half a pinky head...and he still had a lump....lol...now he's taking f/t pinkys on his own. So he's doing great...but still only like a normal sized hatchling...lol...o well..

Okay now it's for Crimsonking.
Everytime I think of Mark, I think of a really nice looking miami corn snake...don't ask me why I don't know either...maybe it's because his really nice looking miami that made the impression?

Anyway here are some miami photos for you. What do you think of her? She's even het motley....lol The photos kind of washed away some of her colors...sucks..but will do for now...

She's a beauty for sure! Love to see her when she's grown. Very nice.

Snakeman, I'm not sure what they go for in Canada. I am keeping most of this year's to see what they turn out to look like since this is the first year I have used the adult male I have. In fact I just had my last clutch hatch a week ago and all look pretty good. Baby Miami corns from (originally) wild lines are more often hard to get feeding on pinks than c.b. lines. I have most of my 1st clutch on pinks now, but it has taken 2 months. I sell them sometimes "out of the egg" for $15. at Daytona. Once on pinks, maybe $20. Same as nearly all my other corns like amels and snows. Once their color begins to show, who knows? LOL! I have seen Miamis on classifieds and at shows for $20.-$40.

Hey Mark my miami looks similar to the one you posted(my avatar). Here is the pattern further down. She has lots of yellow and really thick borders. Sorry about quality I'm still trying to get the hang of compressing pics.

snakeman,
I have seen miamis up here in Canada selling for 30-80 CDN. I sold some of my for 30 and they they were all eating pinks. So basically they are around the same as the US price I guess.

Mark,
Everytime I look at your miami I want to come and steal them from you. I love those so much! My real good looking miami died after laying her clutch this year. I didnt even know but she was actually het for amel (and so was my male miami) and got these really nice looking reverse okeetee or candy canes from the pair. I was going to breed them together again next year...but the female had to die.....sigh.....

Man, that's too bad Simon. Sorry for the loss. I had a few losses this year too. Some were older snakes.

Mark,

Yeah she was my best miami. But o well....we'll have to let nature take it's course...what can we do right? I did try my best. She just wouldn't eat after laying. I had to resort in force feeding, and I force fed her a fuzzy.....and she died a few days after force feeding. So did my crimson female. Did the same thing on the same day. But the crimson died a day before the miami.

Not too good of a year....
1) Male pewter died during Chirstmas
2) Red Candy Cane died before breeding
3) Hypo from last year finally bred but then got egg bound
4) Lavender female died after laying slugs
5) Lav x Caramel clutch all died
6) Lav x Normal het lav and blizzard (this clutch as good compared to the others since all hatched and only got 3 lavs all others were normall het lav but 2 lavs died not too long after coming out from egg
7) Male adult lavender died
8) Crimson Female died (her clutch all hatched and is doing good)
9) Miami female died (lad a fantastic clutch and all looks awsome, but 90% males....lol..still keeping them righ tnow)

Last year I didn't have anything die for me....the only problem that I had last year was my hypo not breeding with any of my males. That was it....and the hatch rate was around 88%.....talk about luck....lol

So sorry to hear about all the losses Simon - especially that Miami female - if she is the one you posted photos of, she was outstanding. Look forward to seeing more photos of her offspring. Also too bad that you lost so many of your lavenders - very frustrating indeed,
