New Baby! Need Advice

hi guys, well ive aquired a cute little girl. While visiting Ben Seigel Reptiles i decided to take home a little one..... ( like i need another) as i was holding 2 August03 hatchlings both female the one in my left hand bit my right hand. Well, after some laughter and a little spot of blood( mine) nonetheless to say her name is Hostility. well ive brought her home. She did not take a prey item from me ( all of my snakes except her have eaten on their first day with me)

because she is my youngest/smallest and almost the cutest( only like 100 grams!), i could use some encouragement/pointers....

You'll have to be more specific when asking for pointers. As for encouragement, "yay for you". "good job" and "stick with it" are the three that come to mind.

Now that she started feeding, you shouldn't have any more problems. My Bp hit my hand yesterday lol.He was under the paper and I had one hand holding back the newsprint and the other dangling the mouse in front of him and he went for my hand instead. I guess that he wanted something bigger, lol. It shook him up for a few minutes because he wouldn't take the mouse but I left it in there and he ate it a little later. Maybe your new acquisition was holding out for a mouse tht tasted like your hand lol

Now get her on rats and you'll be laughing. She's a python, feed her like one. The sooner you try to feed her rats the better. You don't want an adult python that will only take mice. You'll be feeding like ten mice at every meal. Plus she'll grow faster too. Rats are easier to digest and are more nutrious.
Cheers,
Trevor
