Tree Ball????

My little female ball has a branch that goes up near the top of her cage and around her heat lamp. and hang off the branch the exact way you see the ETB and ATB's in pics, with her head curled up in the middle.......

She will come out and hang there while her lamp is still on. Stay there for about 1-2 hours after the lamp is turned off, then go to her cool hide.
She has a warm hide, but absolutely refuses to go into it unless I take out her cool hide. Her temps are 90-95 degree's hot side and 70-85 degree's cool side. and about 50-60% humidity when not in shed.

She is crazy, we call her our tree ball python.....I haven't seen anyone else talk about this and was just wondering if others BP's do this to?

Maybe it's too hot for her in the warm hide. 95 may be an OK temp for a basking spot but I think it's a bit too warm for a warm hide. If it were too hot in the warm hide, the only place that would be a comfortable warm temp would be up near the lamp. Maybe that's why she is up there.

After keeping my BP in a basically bare tank, I put a nice branch in there for him to climb on. For the first three weeks he would actually avoid coming near it but now he climbs on it like a jungle gym lol. I haven't seen him do his impression of a GTP yet though

Wish I could get pics...but not this week, she does it everynight, like on schedule. Then in the mornings she will come half way out of her cool hide and watch us do our morning routine, then as we leave she goes back into her cool hide.

When given the opportunity, all of my balls have done the same. It's pretty common.

When they escape they tend to go UP as well.
I've collected a few from the top shelves of closets in the past, and have heard stories about them being found in the rafters.
They climb all right, and quite well
