Super Pastel, Pastel Orange Ghost and others

I was out taking some pics of my het pieds and I thought I'd take a couple other pics as well. Here are a couple of them.

Pastel Orange Ghost male. He just shed the other day.

Pastel Orange Ghost male in with his Orange Ghost mother. This pic didn't capture her true colours.....but then again I rarely capture the Ghosts true colours as they are hard to photograph. This is the closest I can get of her.

I took some pics of my breeder Super Pastel male for Jeff.

Awesome Corey!

What do you like better, the Super, or the hypo-pastel? I can't decide!!! Super gives you more possibilities with offspring, but the hypo-pastel is more work because you have that single-recessive expressed.

Great stuff!

Jeff,

I like both of them but if I had to pick I'd go with the Pastel Orange Ghost. After anticipating producing one for 5 years you just gotta love them! I like the possibilities the Pastel Orange Ghost provides as well. When I breed him to my pied female I'll get Pastels 100% double het Pied/Orange Ghost as well as double het Pied/Orange Ghosts. If I breed him to my Red Axanthic females I'll get Pastel (Black Backs) double get Red Axanthic/Orange Ghost as well as double het Red Axanthic/Orange Ghosts...........If I breed him to my Orange Ghost females (I have 3 of them as well as a Green Ghost female) I'll produce all Orange Ghosts and half of them will be pastels. Or, I can breed him to my Pastels females and produce Super Pastels, Pastels, and normals that are all 100% het Orange Ghost.......the possibilities are endless.

But, with a Super Pastel whatever you breed him to you'll get all Pastels.......so that's a bonus too!

Thanks for the kind words,
Corey
