Has anyone ever used one, i need a heavy duty heat mat, are they worth the high price tag?

I have a large Kane mat in use for elevating night time temps in an arboreal lizard enclosure. It has been in service for 3 years and still looks absolutely brand new.
Depending upon how you intend to use it, it very likely never, ever, will need to be replaced. They are made for agricultural use and are very heavy-duty.

You will need to hook up a rheostat or thermostat to it, as they can run really hot. Kane heat mats are very durable, and are a breeze to clean. Highly recommended for large boids and lizards.
