Glass tank sideways?

does puting your glass tank hold up humidity and heat well as to right side up?

i've never tried it but i've heard that if you lay your tank with the top facing the wall it will help hold in humidity and heat better. That's just word of mouth so far for me but that's what i've heard.

I've heard this mentioned before. My only question was what do you cover the side of the tank with once it's on it's side? The same screen top? Seems like a pain in the *** if you need to get in the tank. Just my thoughts...
