I was given this link by one of the members here which I found really informative and gave me some ideas.

Also, if you skim through the past post is this forum their are dozens of great threads, pics and ideas. I'm gearing up to build a few enclosures too, and I've just been sifting through this forum page by page and thread by thread. Its a really good resource.

best is using 5*8 melamine, they are cheap here (4'x8' for 19$)
I used particule screw #8 1 1/2" long
for glass I'm using 1/8" thick plexiglass (acrylic), they are easy to
cut, easy to drill hole

for the substrate, I used ceramic tile (its for leo) and a heat cable
under (roof top de icing)

just need a thermostat now

I used melamine wood for my 2 tanks and its doing great for me. Its pretty repelent to water so if you have to spray the tanks it wont get sucked into the wood, as well as there poo. This helps with cleaning and smell A LOT. I would also not suggest plexi glass just because it scratches VERY easily. My 2 uromastyx totally killed the plexiglass sliding front because they can go on the back legs and claw at the glass. I dont know if skins, beardies, or leopards scratch the glass but if you want to avoid it than i suggest you dont use it. Thats about it for that and as icefire said if you need to drill holes than go with the plexi glass because it is obviously much easier to drill holes and cut your self but again watch out for the claws! good luck with your tanks
