My Bull has started doing the same thing. Im sure they become house trained. I use newspaper in the bottom of my vivs & I think she is busy reading that page & will only soil it when she's finishing that page. As for my corns, they don't care, they're too young to read....Lol

None of my BC ssp. defecate in their dishes. Actually, out of all my snakes the only only one of my rainbow boas will occassionally do it. The rest all use their water for drinking

My Columbian has never done it, but my new Dums are doing it already.

One of corns defecates in her water dish regularly, but none of my other snakes do, including my BCI. I WISH they all would! Makes for a very easy cleanup, and saves me money on aspen substrate.

My argie just started doing this, she waits untill Ive cleaned and changed the water and have her tank all set up nicely.
Then she initiates a game to see how cloudy she can make the water

How 'bout some of your boas talk with my boas?? LOL... seriously though, they need some advice... most just crap up against the side of their tanks, and the ones with hides ALWAYS crap in their hides, then they go curl up in them

Ha ha, I get the crap in the hides too Linds!! But I like that better than the water!! I just use Rubbermaids for my hides and I always have a clean rotation of about 10 hides waiting. So if one gets dirty, I just slip a new one in and never miss a beat!! Much easier than dealing with water basins!!

My corns love to defecate anywhere where it will be the most difficult for me to clean. So I relate to your stress, Linds.

Mine goes either in his hide............and then curls up in there so I don't know he did. or he goes underneath some of his fake plants against the glass.....and when I try to pull up the paper to keep it on there......it just falls onto the bottom of the cage.......on the glass so I get to clean the entire cage after that....the other one goes against the side of her cool hide.........it would be so much easier if they were "litter trained"........
