LMAO - a little rat story
Yesterday had a couple of friends over and one wanted to see the rodent room. On entering the room I noticed that the oldest female rat was on her back out in the middle of the tank, legs sticking straight up in the air and it looked like not a muscle was moving. Both of us were heart broken to view this sight and so I went in to double check on her, stroked her little belly and was about to pick her up for extraction when she opened up her eyes, yawned, looked at me with this what the **** are you doing look, rolled over and stood up on her hide quarters. The two of us laughed our A$$es off. Guess I just woke her up, never seen her sleep like this before. Never a dull moment around here

hehehe. Once my male gerbil was in just that position. I shook the tank, opened it, nothing. So we went downstairs and got a bag to put him in and take him out to bury him.
When we got back upstairs, reached in to take him out, bang! He was up and ready for a snack! LOL

Hahaha! For sure! I remember when I had my gerbil I ALWAYS though he was dead. Those little guys are sound sleepers! You can poke em and everything they still don't wake up!
