You almost got the pic up properly, so I fixed it for you. You had the image listed as:
(IMG]http://http://www.ssnakess.com/photo...c00043-med.jpg[/IMG]
So next time just take out the extra "http://" and you are set.

Anyways... nice set-up! Efficient and clean. I like it. How many inverts to do have in total?

Cheers!

Trace

That is just awesome! I eventually want to get a Mexican Rosehair of my own, I for some reason love T's, but hate little house spiders. *L* I also have to make sure that when I get one that it does not escape or I'd find it impaled on a wall by Invictus' dagger. Anyways, how many do you have so far?

So, do you want a Mexican Redknee or a Chilean Rosehair ? Just wondering. Actually they are both great starter T's. I actually have one of each myself.

I actually have (my last count) 113 specimens of tarantulas in my personnal collection with apx 100 being different species. I will SOON post more pictures of my other set-ups in a seperate thread. There are actually 26 tarantulas in that set-up as some of the tanks are devided.
Thanks for looking guys.

Oops! Sorry...Chilean Rosehair...I always mix up the terms...yes, I've handled a small male at the TARAS show when they were here, and he had a WONDERFUL temperment. I have a ton of snakes, and wanted to get started on Invertebrates to add to my exotic collection too. One question, what is your take on scorpions?

I love them!!! That's one of my next things to get!!! As a starter, I would reccomend the emporer. Though one of the larger species, they seem to also be one of the calmer ones too. Plus they aren't AS venomus as some of the others.

that is impressive. I'm terrified of spiders, but I think in order to get over my fear, I need to get a tarantula and take care of it, and try to understand it and over come the fear.

Very very nice set up indeed.... Evil is right about the first time scorp cant go wrong with a Emp... ohh_kristina, that is the best way to over come your fear of T's and also hangin around people who own them and they can teach you all about them and can show you that they are not bad at all.. Maybe even be close to someone that will hold one responsably and not try to freak you out with it... And if ya get a T, that dont mean you have to hold it just, care for it and feed it and keep its cage clean and you will see they are very intresting and cool critters... arachnomania, once again excellent pic and very nice set up.....

Haha Robert you might not have that many if I keep buying them! Those are great cages. I guess I am giving my T's way to much room. How much room do they need?

5-6" tarantulas can be kept in a devided 10 gallon tank. They really don't need alot of room. The ones that I keep in those small pet-pals are no more than 2". I also have other burrowing species in medium pet-pals but there is a burried piece of PVC so they use that as a tunnel and not have to worry about it caving in. This method actually gives the tarantula twice the floor space. As long as the shortest side of your aquarium/tank/container is twice the lenght of the resting tarantula, that is all you need.
