Lids

Hey!

I was wondering how u guys lock the lids on ur rubbermaids..
What is the best place to make some holes in them for Fresh air to get in.......

N 1 more thing--------What is the bigist rubbermaid u guys own..
Pics will help me out alot..

Largest rubbermaid I own is I believe 40"x24", not exactly sure. I make holes on all four sides (not the top), however many needed per environment. Obviously the more humid you want it, the less holes you will need versus a desert setup. I posted this in a thread earlier... I use either binder clips or "S"- hooks to secure the lids. One the 40" long ones, I use 3 sets of S-hooks on the long sides, and I find the short ends do fine with the locking system they already have.

I put the holes in the rubbermaid on the all four sides and closer to the top of the lid, kinda like in Linds pic. Hope this helps

I am not clear what u mean my the s clips.....On the pic i see ur using 1 but i dont see how it works.

Can u clear that up for me

The S clip threads through a hol both on the lip and edge of the lid acting like a padlock.

As for my method, i stack them in multiples of 2 and run a bungy cord from underneath the lip of the bottom container over the lid of the top container and back down the other side.
