lots of pinkies!

Just thought I would post a picture of the pinkies I got this week (3 days worth). For some reason the pinkies are born in groups every3 to 4 days.

WOW!

How many mice do you have for breeding? And how many snakes to feed?

pinkies

There are 200 pinkies in the pile. They are all frozen now. I have one rack of mice for breeding. 1.3 per bin and about 28 bins. I have about 60 snakes and about 30 other herps that eat mice and rats. This time of the year we increase the number of breeders to get more pinkies for the 100 to 200 snakes that will be born in July to September. In the freezer, there is over 1200 mice pinkies and about 400 rat pinkies. I also supply local pet stores or bulk users.

I have always wondered this, why are some darker then others? Are those the ones from black parents?
Thanks

The light ones, the ones with the pink eyes grow up to be albino. Look at the heads and check out the eyes you'll see some have black eyes and some don't. The ones that don't are the albinos.
