Hi- Well from the picture, it looks like you have a female (females don't have a spur on there back leg). Also she looks like her tail was nipped by another chameleon (brother or sister form being all in the same cage), you can see the black at the end of the tail. It may be stuck sheds, but most likely her tail was nipped. Is the black part hard? If not and it is skin, soak her in some warm water in a bowl with very little water in it. The skin should loosen and you can remove it. Put some Neosporin on it after. If it is a nip them it will harden and fall off.

As for care info, see my website there is allot of good info there and links to other good sites. I think you will find everything you need on the site!

Hope this helps!

WWWEEEEEEE! Another member in the club! Congrats Mary!!!

I agree with John... looks to me like you've got a little girl there! Click here for some interesting pics on how to sex them properly.

As for tips for you... I'm at a loss for words this morning! Strange I know! I'm usually all over this forum! It sounds like you've got a basic set-up for now and that's fine. Feed her LOTS of calcium dusted crickets and mist her twice daily. She'll grow like a bad weed.

She's awful cute, have fun with her!

Cheers!

Trace
