Thumbs up Hatchelling blue tree (varanus macraei) photo

This photo and animal belong to my indo friend; he hatched this baby on New Years Eve 2000, what a nice gift.
He was kind enough to share it with me, now I share it with you enjoy
Next time you see this, they will be Canadian born!

Beautifull. Definatly my fav (or second fav) monitor. Has anyone ever bred them in the states yet? just out of curiosity, how fast do they grow/ or reach sexual maturity (if its known)?
Great pic!

That's great! Thanks for the photo steve.

Has anybody done this in the states? I've got three eggs in an incubator but most likely are going to lose 1 due to it having fallen from where the female put it originally and then knocking it down but hey...

Steve, I know you said this person is a supplier of yours and you don't want to put me in contact with him because of that but I really need to ask a few questions of someone who has hatched these, can you help with this?

If it's D&J in indonesia then just tell me and I'll leave it alone, they are not helpful in sharing information regarding breeding anyway. They're just in it for the $$$$.

It's just my hobby and I'm looking for a few questions answered from someone who has the parents and has hatched out a few of these neat animals.

Thanks

ralph

Ralph I don’t think posting slanderous (DG) and my personal email information will get you any help.
Take a pause rethink the situation and try again!

Hey I didn't post anything slanderous!

My experience with D&J has not been one I'd call helpful and I'm entitled to post that. I haven't said anything bad about you. I started posting in an attempt to find some information on these animals, that's what a forum is for. If your supplier is D&J just tell me, it's not a big deal if it is. If you don't want to help then fine.

Also, what are you saying when you say "posting your personal E-mail information won't get me any help" ? You make that sound like i'm blackmailing you or something? I didn't post your actual E-mail, as far I'm concerned we're just having a conversation. If you feel something is "private" then either don't send it or at least mention it's just between two people.

all I'm looking for is someone who has had some success with this animal. People who have that knowledge and won't share it for monetary reasons are not helpful to the hobby or the species. I'm not out to start a fight or such but if you have knowledge, tell people you have it ,and then won't share it, what good are you contributing?

Kyle; I know 3 people hoe bred them and hatched babies 2 in Europe 1 in Jakarta, none that I know in USA nevertheless very possible.

Reptilez; they get about the same size as becarii and prasinus.

Vic; I don’t know how many hatched, all I know is more then 5 clutches.

Boa; expect them to be very expensive as exportation is banned, don’t have a clue what cbb will go for?

Ralph; go back to your original post, I answered all your question. Who are you?

Ralph,
Good luck with those eggs and your search for more info!

Steeve,
There was nothing slanderous or otherwise illegal in this thread, just friendly conversation, let's keep it that way BTW, great pic! Was this the first time your friend hatched them?

Actually Steeve you didn't answer my main question, does anybody know of someone who has actually hatched these and how do I contact them. You just say you know somebody but don't help much from there.

As for who am I , I'm somebody who has these animals, maintains them quite well, has a few Eggs from them down here in California, and is tired of people not sharing information on rare species because of their pride, ego or possible future financial gains. I'm a hobbyist with over 27 yrs of exp. with Herps, worked in both the retail and wholesale herp industries for over 15 and got out because I tired of the things I saw. Now I just keep my personal collection and enjoy Herping my Blue Trees are my Favorites and I'm trying to connect with others who have them and are doing well, I also help others when asked , if I can.

Who are you?

Ralph
