Where would the best possible place to find one be? This has got to be my favorite snake in FL. Do I have to look high in trees for do they hang out near eye level? I need to know where I can find one of these!!!!
They are very common here in central TX, but almost impossible to see; they blend in so well. I've had some luck with a flashlight at night in the trees, the light reflects off of them differently than it does the leaves and branches.
Jeff, I have found only a few over the years. They were on the ground or only a few feet off the ground. Of course they could be higher, I just haven't seen them there.
