I just bought a 65 Rambler (cheap) all numbers matching to rebuild. Looking forward to the road trips already! My favorite by far is a 61 Caddy!

I see it now... man trucks are fun to play with but yours looks like the body is nice so you might shed a tear when the side gets knocked in by a tree. my frend had a big ol 79 blazer or at least it think it was that year it was so rusty you could see clean through the side of it. so he cut nearly all the body off made a roll cage welded the rear end together. left just the exaust manifolds on lifted the body on blocks. then he got some 38" tires with nearly no tread and he took it though anything.... that is untill he cracked the frame off some ******** jump he made then it just got eaten by rust to death

Love that blazer, I want one like it, diesel.
I know they're not that old, but here are kate's trucks, '82 and '83 ram chargers respectively. The 83 is stock.
here's a side view of the '82
and yes they're interesting to drive.

I only wish i had a truck...right now im driving a 83 cutlass cruiser supreme station wagon that the cops want to take off the road because it is too "unsafe"...But in the past i have owned a 73 MG Midget and a 70 Buick skylark... Both were great cars... I wish i still had them, but they were costing me too much money too keep in good shape...If i can find pics ill post them.

There is nothing like the satisfaction of doing an entire car yourself...it got me into the trade...but i decided a long time ago that i would probably grow tired of working on cars all day and then coming home and working on them...so i went the diesel mechanic route instead. I find that when you take your time and do stuff like restoring a car you really become amazed at what talents you have. Im sure that the Jag will be beautiful when its done..please keep us up to date on the rest of the resto..i would love to see the pics..and for anyone else as well who is doing a resto. If ever i can help with anything from tires up..please don't hesitate to ask as vehicles are my lifes passion
