Corallus.com meltdown
I've just washed my hands of my old website at corallus.com. I don't post much, kinda keep to myself, but I liked hanging out with all the other Tree boa keepers but on the BOI it looks like a warzone. Two guys I thought highly of look like they have been up to stuff and are getting called out on it but instead of things getting squared away people dodge things and play games of distraction , I don't know who to listen to so I left.
Any insights on that mess?
Either way I'll be popping in here from now on, if it is good enough for suitcat then I'll swing over more.
Ralph

Hi Ralph....welcome to Ssnakess.....yes the other "boi" has become quite the shambles lately, and not even worth getting into any of the discussions as they have become all one sided and down right nasty. Too bad, it really was a good place to visit. You will be happier here. Everyone seems easy enough to get along with, and no one is detered from asking or posting anything as of yet. It seems we are all still allowed an opinion here so its all good.
Once again, Welcome
Beth

Since I no longer keep any corallus, I haven't been frequenting the site as much as I used to, not enough to keep up to date on anything as you have described, nor do I visit the BOI very often (It's pretty well geared towards American's). One thing I've learned, is that people you can trust in this industry are few and far between... and you can never really tell who these people are, often many of the most respected individuals in the community cannot be fully trusted. I don't want to come across overly cynical, but at the same time its the sad truth. By the sounds of it you got stuck right in the middle of these two and whatever they are saying....
Well, glad you found your way over to sSnakeSs.com! We definitely could use some more corallus keepers over here

Ralph, these debates have came over to these boards aswell and they were stopped immediatly. The reality of it is IMO, it will never end... It looks to be a ongoing dispute and I dont see it ending anytime soon. There are alot of places this conflict is being aired so when it was brought to our site, it was ended right away.

I am on both boards now, I agree with the warzone comment. As a new person to the tree boa scene I really don't know who the **** is legit and who isn't. I just wanna talk about snakes, and learn more(I pick up my first ATB from John Camp in a little over 2 weeks). I dunno wtf is goin on, but I agree with Ralph.

it's sad when communities get killed due to fighting. that's why i rarely stray from the snakes site, you just don't find the sense of family anywhere else but here.

Well I tried.
I made an attempt to go back, weed through all of it, caught some of the BS by Matt Leher and decided Bobby's crusade looked legit. That Matt just twists and turns everything you post even when you are just pointing things out. I made it clear that wanted the "close knit" community back and that was why I was involved. I said I wanted Matt to leave but that everybody has a say too and should speak up, even if they want me to leave. I know there is always one and it didn't surprise me that one spoke up thinking everything I was trying to do was wrong and wanted me to leave.
I really liked that community but with one last post now I'm here for good.
It sucks that I have to get to know everybody again, I feel I wasted my time there.
I even placed some of the most direct and straightforward posts there even was and still couldn't fix it.
I'm really tempted to just stay away from forums again like I did for the first few years of having internet access.

Hey dont get discouraged Ralph You will always have a home here regardless of where else you post You will be a great asset to our corallus forum and dont worry about getting to know everyone, its never hard to make friends here quick! Im sure 90% of the corallus keepers know / know of you already! I know the first time i saw those smokin red ammies on your site, it wouldnt be hard to remember your name!

It's amazing how red the babies are after giving their mother red gatorade while she's gestating. I'm thinking blue gatorade this year......
Funny thing is now Matt is posting the Fauna BOI trying to make Danny look good..I'm just leaving it alone for now but it has become SO obvious of their bull$hit and that they are in it together, I never though I'd say about either of them but they are just in it for the $$$$$.

LOL!!! Artic Ice would make a nice phase aswell??? LOL! It truly is a shame when one of the best parts of the hobby IMO (corallus) has turned into such a soap opera in the US... Dont worry Ralph, out of everything bad spawns good, or so they say, so only time will tell! :P
*edited* argh, i really need to sign out of Shanes name.. This is Jeff at Shanes.. LOL nice location BTW :P
