How in the world??

how in the world do i take good resolution pics and keep them to below 25000k without making them too small???

You can't have a large high quality pic. Upload them to your own server, to your gallery on ssnakess. If we could upload any size pics, imagine how big the site would be and how much it would cost!

if you want to directly post a pic, you'll have to make it smaller and lower quality.

There are lots of good photo programs that lower the resolution of a pic. If you don't want to crop it, just change the quality. A 25,000 Kb picture can still be very good quality.
Also JPG are about half the size of GIF pictures. And Bitmaps(BMP)s are huge. Stick with JPG's.

pirate yourself a good graphics program. Adobe PhotoShop 5.5 or newer will be all you need. Then you can change quality, coding, physical size, etc. a 700x480 pic with a high quality will almost always fit on ssnakess servers.

Yes Photoshop is one of my favorite programs-- The magic wand tool is the best on snakes! It selects all their patten
