Blue Tongue Skink Identification Question

Hello all. I saw this cutie at a local pet shop but I'm not sure what subspecies he belongs to. I'll admit that I am definitely a newbie and would like some help. Side note, he has a pretty gnarly shed going on on his back.

Re: Blue Tongue Skink Identification Question

More likely than not it is an Indonesian Blue Tongue Skink, Tiliqua gigas. The coloration, build of the body, and the fact that it is in a petstore all point that direction. It is probably a wild caught animal, so a fecal may be in order if you decide to get it.
