Largest handleable snake species

Hi, my name is Jake and I am new to this forum. I'm 23, about 6 foot and 200 lbs. What's the largest snake I would be able to handle on my own roughly? Seems tough to find a "mid sized" giant snake. Would want max size under 12 for sure. I would imagine 8-10 feet would be max I could deal with.
I'd rather have a girthier snake than a longer one.
I have an 8x3x3 enclosure.

Any thoughts / suggestions welcome..

I'd say a full grown boa constrictor is not out of the question.

BCC or BCO are large boas that are still pretty manageable. Olive pythons are great too and one of the smaller giants.

I've been researching this for quite a while now, myself. I would think that a true super dwarf Retic from a reputable source would work for us. "Reach out reptiles" on Youtube is a guy dedicated to dwarf and super dwarf reticulated pythons. Some good videos on them. If I get to the point where I "gotta have one" I'll probably look into getting a male from him. I believe he would be able to steer someone in the right direction.

I would suggest a retic with a fairly high percentage(50-87.5%) of super dwarf (preferably Kalatoa) blood. If you can get a pure super dwarf it would be even better.

The combination of adult size, ease of care and general temperament makes them a wonderful intermediate snake.

I've also been looking into carpet pythons. Coastals get some pretty impressive but manageable size.

For a first time big snake I would suggest getting your snake young so that you can get used to handling her before she gets big. For my retics having a familiar routine is mandatory, i.e. clean cage/handle then feed. I also hook train them so that they know (as much as snake can) that they are about to come out of the cage and they are not about to be fed.
