Can anyone identify my boas?!

Hi, I just got these 2 guys recently and I’ve never had boas before, (only ever had corns and milks). Obviously one is a hypo, but can anyone tell me where they’re from and what their actual names are? Thanks in advance. Oh also I need 5 posts to start posting pics so please, read on!

Re: Can anyone identify my boas?!

This is my lovely unknown Hypo, Dobby (as named by my kids!) (s)he is roughly 4 foot long and very active, I've tried to have him/her sexed but the guy in the pet shop said he was unsure, as he could get 5 scales deep, which apparently is deep for a girl but shallow for a boy? (can anyone shed light on this?!)

Next up is my big boy, Nagini (also named by the kids! can you tell they love Harry Potter!) He's roughly 6 feet, although i haven't actually measured him, but his shed is about 6.5 feet long. Am i right in thinking the shed is always longer because its fully stretched out? see the picture below of his shed!

So yeah, If anyone can tell me what they are that would be great!

Thanks!

They're both common boas.

Re: Can anyone identify my boas?!

Cool cheers Andy! I’ve never actually seen a boa before these 2 so I didn’t have a clue! I’ve been reading a book by vin Russo called the complete boa constrictor to try and get to know how to care for these guys, as I’d hate to think I was doing them more harm than good!
