Carpet Python breeding tips?

Looking for any tips on breeding carpets. I have a nice, big pair of coastal genetic stripes and hoping to be successful in the upcoming season but hoping to get some tips... All tips appreciated. Is keeping them together all year a viable option? (While feeding them separately for safety reasons.)

Re: Carpet Python breeding tips?

This year will be my first year breeding carpets so I don't have any special insights to offer. I can say from breeding corn snakes that you should separate the snakes once the female is gravid. And since you need two cages anyway, and separating to feed is a pain, just house them separately.

My breeding plan is to feed my snakes, give them three days to digest, put them together in the female's cage for two-three days, separate them for a day, feed them, repeat. Might not be the best plan in the world but it gives them a chance to lock, ample time to rest, and keeps them fed if no fertilization occurs.
