Boa enclosure

I'm looking for a way to connect two large tubs together to make a big tub for my boa. She is just a little too big for the one she's in and I'm a bit tight on money, so trying all my options before spending money. Has anyone done this? How can I attach the tubs together in a way that is safe for the snake?
Any tips/help is appreciated

Re: Boa enclosure

What kind of tubs? A lot tend to be tapered which would make joining more difficult. Could cut holes, melt the edges and use zip ties to hold it.

Re: Boa enclosure

They are both sterilite tubs. That's a great idea, didn't think of that. Thanks!

Re: Boa enclosure

Biggest thing is make sure the edges aren't sharp. A lot of those plastics don't cut clean. Don't want any knives to stab the snake.

Re: Boa enclosure

Yep I'll do that. I have a thick soldering iron that will melt the edges good and I'll make sure they are rounded

Re: Boa enclosure

A lot of times you can find 40 breeder size fish tank at garage sales or classifieds cheap until you can afford something better suited. Always worth a look, over the years I found two 40 breeders and got them for cheap and one time at a garage sale I grabbed a 75 and the lady only wanted 40 bucks!! Anyway just an idea, goodluck!

Re: Boa enclosure

Yeah she was already in a 50 gallon tub, so I'm extending it another 35 gallons. As soon as I have the money, she will be in a nice display case
