Help Request! White Bump on Snake Nose
Few month ago, We brought back a new Tree Branch, Stone, and Mosses form Exoterra
Few days later, we've noticed the tree to have grow some mold, sometime later, we begin to notice some small bump with outline white on our snake's nose
We throw away the stone and mosses, but since it wasn't that badly molded, we keep the tree after very long sunning and treatments with few chemical, such as dettol, untill the mold seem to completely dissapear
After a while, the bump seem to lessen by it's own, untill recently it's starting to rain, did the bump suddenly worsen
These are image, by timeline order, the last one are just 2-3 days ago
It suddenly swell up after humidity peak, after flatten so much already
What should we do?

Re: Help Request! White Bump on Snake Nose
It probably got smaller due to the shed, it's how they fix skin issues. It could be a tumor or something too. I would take it to a vet, someone on here who has seen this before will hopefully chime in.

Re: Help Request! White Bump on Snake Nose
I see... we already thought of visiting a vet, but, we live in Thailand and it's really, really hard to find a vet for snake, even a place who accept so-called "Exotic Pet" are mostly limited to Hamsters and Parrots, with some exception that allow just non-venomous snake
although, i'm not certain if she would be considered venomous, since her venom is very mild, and any advice while we look for vet would be highly apreciated
That being said, after some inspection we don't really think it's tumor, it's seem more like a swell, and may seem more like Oedema, which is condition of rapid swelling, transparency on wound tissue, but we're still not sure, as she's quite agressive and cannot be pick up easily, not to mention the bump is too small to see

Re: Help Request! White Bump on Snake Nose
It looks like it's an abscess. If so it'll need vet attention for draining and actual cause. Could be do to an impacted tooth or whatever....

Re: Help Request! White Bump on Snake Nose
Thank you for your input, we've finally be able to locate a vet just yesterday ......After going through a long list of 20 vet which are said to accept Exotic pet, only 2 of which Actually did, and only 1 of which seem Actually Trust Worthy, after a nearly whole day of searching online, our hardwork are paid off
In Meanwhile, Is there anything we may try to alleviate the symptom? could abscess be cause by fungal as well, or bacteria only?
My father also remark he saw a moisquito in her box sometime before, it... couldn't possibly be a moisquito bites.... could it?

Good job on locating a vet.
As for mosquito bite, I honestly have no clue on that. Certainly anything is possible but probable? I don't know.
I would just wait for the vet. Abscess generally need medical treatments that we can't do at home. You also probably want the full symptoms present when visiting the vet for best diagnosis.
