Hit 5 posts so decided to throw a couple of pics up. Noticed mites yesterday  so here are a few pics of him getting a bath/soak. Any suggestions on remedies before they get out of hand? Was told to soak a couple hours then 2 days later another couple of hours.
*** pics will have to wait. Still not letting me.

You're limited to 640x480 so you'd have to resize before uploading.
Use a pic hosting service, like Imgur, and use the image link tool above where you type your posts to link to your image(s).

You'll need to do more than just soak in water to get rid of mits.
There's various chemical treatments - Nix, proventamite, callingtons etc and then there's the natural route- predatory mites which feed on the snake mites

Yeah I actually used the soak in conjunction with 'Reptile Spray' which has Dioctyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate as the active ingredient. I am weary of such sprays though.
I am very interested in the mite vs mite scenario. Will have to look more into this If I can't get it under control. As of now the mites are still present, found some in the water bowl.

Predatory mites are awesome. 100% safe, and 100% effective. Once there's no more snake mites, if your not bioactive and there's no springtails for them to feed off they simply die away.

I am ordering some mites first thing in the morning to ship overnight. I will let you know how it goes. The snake mites are getting bad. Lots more in the water dish and can see them crawling on her.
I plan on using coconut coir for the substrate in order to allow the Hypoaspis Mites to survive longer. Hopefully this will clear up the problem.
There are supposedly 12k Hypoaspis Mites in the shipment. Should be enough :P
