Trans-Pecos Rat Snakes and F/T Prey
I have the opportunity to add a second female Trans-Pecos rat snake to my collection but have heard that it is exceedingly difficult if not impossible to switch them from live to F/T prey.
I've had experience switching over ball pythons but both of my current Trans-Pecos rats came to me already eating F/T.
Is that rumor true? Any experiences with this?
Live really isn't an option for me as reliably getting live feeders is difficult to impossible here and breeding my own mouse colony ended in disaster when it turned out that my husband is violently allergic to them.
She is young--4 months old--and currently eating live mouse pinkies. According to the seller she was offered F/T but wasn't interested.
