Very cool. I wouldn't say death wish as you're not touching it. Just following along filming it.

Yeah. I was using a GoPro, which makes everything look far away. So for the crossing shot I had the camera about 6 to 8 inches away. It was on a pole, but not a long pole. I was wearing sandals, and definitely within strike range. That said, I had already spent 10 mins with the snake and it showed no signs of aggression at all. I didn't feel like a daredevil or anything, but knew I was taking a calculated risk.

My third blue coral experience was much different. A very scary experience for about 15 secs. I had to drop the camera and focus on keeping the snake away. It came straight at me 3 times. Maybe it thought I was the closest "tree". Anyways, I won't forget it! If you lookup ...In search of the blue coral snake, you'll see it.

Yeah that looked a little dicier. I suppose it's fortunate that they are so brightly colored, as you'd never want to step on one. Looks like they just strut around as if they bright blue and red is a huge flashing 'danger' sign (and they know it).

It's interesting. As brightly colored as they are, they can be tough to spot. I'm not sure exactly why. They do tend to hang out within the leaf litter mostly and not so much out in the open.
