Welcome! What are the temperatures in the enclosure?

Please list us your husbandry/enclosure details. Also what brand of thermometer, hygrometer you're using, thermostat and heating element.

Also include where you bought it from, what it was eating when you got it, what and how you're trying to feed the snake now. Finally, how often are you handling it.

Without these answers, we're all firing darts in the dark.

Temperature is alright. The snake had eaten a week before i bought it.
It's almost 4 weeks now since he last eaten.

Please list the information I asked for in detail.

Right now my opinion is:

1. Your husbandry sucks
2. You're handling it too much

Re: My ball python isn't eating

eman, it's very important to have the pertinent info on how the enclosure is set up as far as the temperatures, humidity, and size. The method you are using to heat the enclosure are all key. The age of the Python and what he was being fed are important as well. This way we can give you the best suggestions to remedy his inappetance. Oh! Welcome to the forum.

"The temperatures were fine" does not tell us what your temps are, and if temps are wrong and he's still adjusting to his enclosure, he WON'T eat until you a) leave him alone and b) set the temps to what they should be. So unless you give us detailed information, we CAN'T help you.

Temperature is 85 F
Actually it's not being handled too much and the heat blanket is not being used.

Re: My ball python isn't eating

Ok, we still need the measured temperature by thermometer or temp gun of the "hot spot". Is 85f the warm side ? Since you are not using the heat "blanket" would that be the heat mat? The python would still need a area where he can access a warmer than 85f space in the enclosure. Have you measured the humidity?

No I didn't check the humidity.
Yes the 85F is the warmest spot.

Re: My ball python isn't eating

That's way too cool so no temps are not "fine". 85 air temp, 10 degrees more for a hot spot is necessary (92-95), and you need to check the humidity and it has to be correct. Gotta have these BASICS down before your snake will eat regularly.
