Worried about RI

Tonight, when I picked up Floyd the BRB, I noticed he clicked. I have super sensitive hearing (no thanks to metal shows...) and maybe hes done this all along and Ive never picked up on it before.

Aside from the occasional click (seemed to increase once he was back in the tank) the only other "weird" thing hes been doing is rather than be UNDER the moss on the COOL side of the tank, hes been on TOP of the moss on the WARM side.

Re: Worried about RI

Is there any other symptoms that you've noticed? Streaking of mucus on the glass of the enclosure, bubbling secretions through the nose or mouth? Inability to close his mouth, stargazing ? Look for the symptoms if you haven't heard or noticed them recently. More importantly, is he feeding? Start by raising your ambient temperature by a few degrees and monitor all your husbandry closely.

so i may be super embarrassed now.

I think he was farting.

When I took him out last night, I noticed some fluid by his vent, figured it was close to poop time if he hadnt already. Today, he isnt popping and theres a nice large poo in the cage (promptly cleaned...ew) and I think everything is all good.

Nothing to be embarrassed about. You are supposed to check and then triple check when you feel suspicious about something. Glad it's a false alarm. Haha.
