Hi everyone.
I'm in Florida and a snake is hanging around in my garden, Is this snake
poisonous ? Love snakes as long as I feel safe. It has very blue eyes.

Re: Need help snake ID

Harmless black racer. The eyes are blue because it is getting ready to shed its skin. During this process, the snake secretes a small amount of fluid between its old skin, and the new skin underneath, to separate the two. Snakes shed the clear covering over their eyes along with the rest of their skin. In a few days the eyes will clear again as the fluid dries. A few days after that, the snake will shed its skin.
