Hey Adam, I can't see the pics but from the vague description it sounded like you were mentioning a Gerhosaurus nigrolineata (sorry I can't remember the spelling...) Anyways, I have a male (his story is on my site with pics, I believe) and I've been searching high and low for a female for him (for the last 3 years and I've never even seen another like him). Is there a way you can e-mail me those pics... I'd love to see them, Gerhosaurus or not =)

I've given up trying to post pics, so just go to http://groups.msn.com/theplatedlizar...edlizards.msnw The first three pics are the female and the rest of them are the male. Samba, these guys are Madagascar four-lined plated lizards (Zonosaurus quadrilineatus).

Adam,
Adorable lizards, I'll post a pic of mine someday soon. My Dahli is also from Mad. but is not the same species. His story's on my webpage if you ever wanna check it out... I spent nearly 2 years not knowing what he was!!!!

Samba,
I'm not too sure what you have is a Gerrhosaur, I didn't think that genus was found on Madagascar. Looking at that pic it looks more like the genus Zonosaurus. If you join http://groups.yahoo.com/group/platedlizards/messages and go to the photo page there is a load of pics of most of the plated species, you might find out what Dahli is there. And you might find someone on the message board who is selling a female By the way, I think it's great you took him in and that you are planning to breed them My pair was housed in a 10 gallon tank with a heat rock for 6 months before I bought them, now they are in a 5x3 custom made tank! I'm hoping to breed them in the spring
Adam
