St. Louis, MO Mice

Hi, I currently live in STL near Maryland Heights. I am having trouble finding mice to feed my KSB.

Is there anyone in or near the area or knows someone near by that breeds mice? I need either big fuzzies or small hoppers.

I have tried several times already to feed frozen, I don't know why he won't, but he has eaten live his whole life, and still seems to only want to eat live. I have found 4 stores close to me (that I know of) 3 are in south STL and the other in O`Fallon IL.

1/3 is going out of business
2/3 is so fallen apart they should be out of business, animals dead in tank, can't see the fish in the tank they are so dirty, mice kept in unhealthy means would not feel safe buying from them, and felt bad for the animals there.
3/3 haven't been there yet

The IL one is the best so far, really good place, but it's at a hour drive one way. It's becoming to costly in money and time to get out there every week.

I tried Petco and Petsmart but they only have full grown mice, far to large for my KSB.

Why not set up your own small group? You can sell the leftovers. Also i know it's not easy, but i haven't met a snake yet that couldn't be convinced to eat frozen. (Even if i had to heat it up, and make it dance the chicken dance, they all eventually took it.)

Go to the STL herp soceity meetings. You have access to one of the best around (unless it has changed lately) and I am sure someone there will probably be able to sell you some mice.
