Re: Pastel + Het Desert Ghost?

50% of the clutch will be pastel
50% of the clutch will be normal

all of the babies have a 50% chance of being het for desert ghost. You won't know if they are until they are bred to a 100% het or better yet a visual desert ghost.

Re: Pastel + Het Desert Ghost?

I suggest researching some genetics and proper breeding sizes and weights, before any pairing

here this may help you in the future

Re: Pastel + Het Desert Ghost?

In a matter of fact, I used genetic wizard and it told me that i will get a chance of 25% of getting a het ghost pastel or something like that.

If i get that , for how much would it be sold for?

Re: Pastel + Het Desert Ghost?

depends on the demand in your area. impossible to say for sure. I asked a local breeder what a morph that he was expecting in an upcoming clutch and he still didnt know. so for another country all together its impossible to say

No idea. Check your local classifieds or where you bought yours from.

As I said, you won't know it's a het until it's bred.

Until that point it's a pastel 50% POSSIBLE het desert ghost.

In other words, it's worth as much as a pastel. $30 bucks.

Agreed with Aaron. It all depends on the demand for specific morphs in your area. Bananas were a craze here, prices are dropping now.
And you wont know 100% if it's a Het until it's bred. you can label it as "possible het"

Not foolish at all
It was just advice. It's good you're willing to learn!
Het basically means its carrying the gene but its not visable, and the offspring of that should visually show that "het" gene,
Breed pieds you get het pieds. they look like normals. they dont show it but carry it.. breed Het pieds the babies will show the pied gene.

That's the best I can explain it.. Maybe someone else can do better?

Re: Pastel + Het Desert Ghost?

That's the picture that was a big help for me to understand the "het thing".
