Oxybelis aeneus - Mexican vine snake?

Hello guys, this morning I went out to check the water tank and walking next to a bush I saw, at the last moment, a long thing sticking out of it and standing still like a branch. Of course, it was a snake. I quickly check on internet about the species and then I took some photos.

It stood still until I touched it, fom there it went rampage keeping its eyes on me with is mouth spread open and trying to bite everything.
It also smell so bad...

How's its venom on humans? Is it a mexican vine snake?

Unsure of the venom on humans. However it smells most likely because it musked you.

Still a cool looking snake. I love the Black Mamba looking mouth. I imagine it serves to act as a warning to other critters to stay away or else...

I'm starting to get jealous Aether, you find some beautiful critters. I agree with Oxybelis aeneus. Vine Snakes venom is reptile specific (they primarily eat lizards) and has virtually no affect on humans or even mice.

Very interesting informations, thanks everybody. So it was just a show...but it worked, he intimidated me very well. Was funny how it was following my movements with its head and eyes, I think it can't rotate its eyes.
Well yeah, interesting snakes, but I'm waiting for semplicity, want to meet some boa or piton.
