Re: how bad is their bite?
It's not terrible. I was bitten a handful of times by my old roommate's ATBs and it wasn't too bad.

I've never been bit. I can't imagine it's fun. I use hooks with mine for that reason. If you pick them up inveest in a good one. they are wicked fast.

Re: how bad is their bite?
I think it got him 2-3 times IIRC. That picture was taken about two years ago so I don't remember 100%.

Re: how bad is their bite?
They normally have an awkward half hearted strike. Most bites are not that bad. More of a nip than a bite.

ATB strikes are a mild bite compared to many other snakes. I quest it depends on what you compare them to (green tree pythons or emerald tree boas)

I'm curious what a snake bite is in comparison to a cat messing with you and those fish hook claws?

None of the scars and cuts on my hands and feet came from my snakes, they all came from my cats playing with me. LOL I wonder what I would look like if my cats really wanted to hurt me? Most snake bites are no that bad.

You are talking about your experience with two snakes. I'm talking about my experience with hundreds of snakes. I breed ATB's and work with GTP and ETB.
