Re: scream
Albino cali king. She's been behaving odd lately. I added a handful of aquarium gravel a while ago and she's always digging in it and rubbing her face on the rocks. Doesn't appear to be going into shed either.
I'm stoked too, Justin. Unfortunately it'll be a while till i can get it cause of unforeseen work shortage

Try pulling the gravel and tossing in Aspen Bedding.

The entire floor of the setup is aspen.( shown in picture 2)
I simply just threw some gravel in for the hell of it and now she picks pieces up with her head and pushes them around... Its weird. Do snakes get bored i wonder?

Re: scream
some of my snakes will push their substrate into piles with their heads. i dont know if its boredom or if theyre just trying to dig their way out. I notice this behaviour mostly from my little pair in the sand but once in a while my mbk does it too.

Re: scream
She is lovely! Any chance she is gravid? Maybe you can add more aspen to the enclosure and see if it's just that she wants to burrow. Burrowing is a natural behavior for lots of snakes, some more than others. Being gravid is also a possibility.

Re: scream
I'm going to associate being gravid with being pregnant? - she's never been in contact with another snake as far as i know

Shes probably curious about it since its new. Probably wondering whats under it or perhaps instinctually looking for prey under it. Just a guess.
