Hashtag, my zebra jungle carpet
Thought I'd show off some photos of my zebra jungle, Hashtag. I couldn't be more pleased with this feisty little noodle. He's already grown up so much in the few months I've had him, and I can't wait to watch him mature into adulthood.
Here he is the day I got him in November...

...and here is roughly three months later! Check out the difference just two sheds makes!

He's actually pretty good with handling. As long as you move at his pace he'll happily cruise around on your arms or on my bed. He's still pretty jumpy, so I don't trust him with others yet, but he's calmed down a lot since day one.

Hashtag is difficult to photograph. He either wants to bite the camera, or try to climb on it.

This is the clearest photo i've managed to get of him so far~

Re: Hashtag, my zebra jungle carpet
Wow what an incredible looking lil guy. Is this the same morph as the cover page contest winner? How is their temperament and care? How we'll do they accept food and how large do they get? I'm really considering getting one of these guys.

The jungle carpet python on the cover page is not a morph. Temperament as with all snakes vary by the individual. Most animals, especially captive bred and born should do fine with gentle handling and care. They accept food well and get around 5 feet on average. Some grow smaller and some grow bigger depending on the lineage.
For in-depth care info get the book "The Complete Carpet Python" by Justin Julander and Nick Mutton.

Do it! You wont regret it! Easily my favorite snake! The book that Mikoh4792 recommended, "The Complete Carpet Python", is worth every cent if you're seriously considering making the plunge.

From several breeders. Nick Mutton(inlandreptile), Chris Rindel(Headhunterreptiles). If you join a carpet python group on facebook you'll find many reputable breeders there with amazing animals.
