If anyone has any advice to ejthe t would be the best place to look or where they are most likely to be hiding it would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone knows any tricks to lur them out. Thanks guys.

Re: Emergency need help!

Put some natural yogurt with a bit of banana mashed up in it in a shallow dish and leave it in the last known location of the gecko.

Look where it's warm and it's probably off the ground..one trick that's a little over kill is to put out flower on the floor at nite and check for tracks in the morning..like I said it's prob not on the ground so that May or not work. Good luck!

Re: Emergency need help!

Ok thanks. The geckos cage is up on a tall dresser...his ability to stick was not good the last time I saw it. Should I put it by the cage but on a lower level?!

Re: Emergency need help!

You could set out a few smaller dishes one on ground level, one beside the base of the cage, and one in a higher spot. The like tight, dark, and warm. Closets and dressers are good spots to search.

Re: Emergency need help!

Mine get out semi regularly (sometimes without me even knowing until I find them in a place they shouldn't be lol).

Best advice is that if it's in a room, keep the door closed, then, wait till its night time and go in, turn the lights off, and wait to hear something.

They like to hide in, under, and behind ANYTHING they can squeeze inside, the tighter the better.

I have never caught an escapee by putting out food or a heat source. It was always timing.

Good luck!

Re: Emergency need help!

ok guys sorry I haven't responded much. Fortunately I am going home tomorrow. So far the gecko has not been found, but something tells me they aren't doing much to find it. They aren't really reptile enthusiast like the rest of us on here. How long could it possibly stay alive ?! Also, any other help or suggestions is appreciated. I am going to start with the yogurt bowls. I sleep in the room the cage is in so I will pay attention at night to try and hear noises. The flour might be a little too messy for now, ill resort to it as a final option.
