We felt that we needed more floor space for our burm tank, but didn't exactly have the $ to build a new enclosure for them. So we took the tank that measures 60"X18"X24" and flipped it on a side.
Here's the original enclosure.
now here's the enclosure on the side. Gives us a total of 10 square feet, 2.5 feet more then previous.
They loose their basking shelf but we may make one for them later on.
awesome, i also have seen people knock out the bottom of tnaks and put it on top of another to get a bigger tank, but that would probably only be good for the arboreal species.
