Snake Subpecies

Hello,

I am researching and reading in reptile forums, websites, blogs for 3-4 years. The majority of the websites are promoting the morphs of each species. In my opinion natural colors are the most beautiful snakes.

I had the idea of creating a small article for subspecies ( up to now for boa constrictor and carpet pythons).

Whoever has the knowledge, if i made any mistake please let me know. I tried to make it as simple as possible.

Your picture for the southern carpet looks more like a coastal and the coastal is an irian jaya

Genus is capitalized while species and sub-species is not.

Don't get me wrong but all you are saying is that i should replace subspecies with sub-species?

No, you have the capitalization wrong. For example "Morelia Spilota Imbricata" should be "Morelia spilota imbricata"

The carpet python being represented under harrisoni does not look IJ, or atleast not pure IJ. It looks like a coastal or a coastal cross. This is what an actual IJ looks like.

I have never seen an IJ with a head pattern like the one shown there.

I made the change for IJ. Again i want to thank you all for your corrections. if you have any other proposal for similar articles let me know. I am thinking of creating a sand boa subspecies article now (snakebytestv helped to this).
