What would you do with a 100 gallon tank/terrarium?

I have a 100 gallon tank that currently houses a bunch of small fish. I've been in the fishkeeping hobby for a long time and have grown tired of it. You can't really interact with small fish like you can with snakes, dogs, cats, etc.
I am considering 2 things.

1. Selling the tank/stand/canopy/filter/live plants/fish. I think I could probably get $500+ from everything. But I really have no need for the money...just selling the fish, plants and filter would give me $200+ and leave me with a bare tank/stand/canopy.
2. Tear it down to nothing but a clean, dry, tank...and put something else in it. No fish. NO idea what I would put in it. I could probably use the $200 from the fish and plants and filters to put something in there.

If it were you in this situation, what would you do? If you were to sell it, what would you do with the money? If you were to keep the tank, what would you put in it?
Maybe I can get some ideas from y'all. Because I'm stuck. All I know is I want something interactive but low maintenance.
So...if you were in my shoes, what would YOU do?

P.S. for those who missed it on my "Some snake questions" thread...I got my snake! High White Cal King. I am SOO smitten.

ME? I'd be like OH BOY ANOTHER SNAKE, keep the tank, and probably come home with this local Dumerils I see for sale.

Or a banana king.

OR. OR A PASSEL OF GARTER SNAKES*.

*Yes, I know about keeping snakes communally. I know. I know.

A passel of Garter Snakes...never heard the word passel before!
I've been looking at Sand Boas and Corn Snakes, can pairs be kept together at all times or should that be avoided? I would be interested in breeding some day in the future(am not set on a specific type of snake), but not sure what all that entails so it's something I need to do a TON of research on. However, it does interest me and if my thinking is correct, should be possible with a tank as large as a 100 gallon. It's 5 feet long, 23?? inches tall, and 16 inches wide.

Reptile/frog habitat. Very nice in a 100. Don't think you'll be disappointed.

Dart frogs or geckos. That size tank you could really spruce it up and make it bad @ss.

Agreed. I just want something that is low maintenance, don't dart frogs require high humidity?

EDIT: scratch that. With a fogger like the Exo Terra Fogger, is it necessary to mist the enclosure each day, or does the fogger take care of the humidity requirements?

I agree that small fish are less than exciting, but with that size tank you could keep some mid-size or large cichlids that are more interesting. I doubt you'd get $200 out of the fish/plants/filter, small fish are difficult to resell.
As far as humidity for frogs, a glass top with minimal ventilation should maintain high enough humidity even without a fogger or misting. I've thought about dart frogs too, but with 2 dogs, 11 aquariums, and now 4 snakes I'm even less inclined to start culturing wingless fruit flies.

Re: What would you do with a 100 gallon tank/terrarium?

I should have no problem getting $200 for the fish, plants and filter. The fish are being traded into a fish store for cash, but the plants and filter I will sell myself. The filter is an FX5 with an FX6 motor that is only a few months old. Should get $150 EASY for that.
I joined a frog forum because I'm very interested in poison dart frogs for this tank. I'm done with fish.

Re: What would you do with a 100 gallon tank/terrarium?

Yeah you could use a fogger, but as said above, you might not need it. I use plexiglass to cover rather top of a 55 gallon for my Taiwan beauty, and I have to adjust quite often to keep the humidity down. Granted dart frogs require higher humidity, but I'd have no problem keep the humidity above 80%.

Re: What would you do with a 100 gallon tank/terrarium?

I would definitely go for a medium sized, semi arboreal snake. My personal pick would be the Cave Dwelling rat snake, but the other Beauty snakes and a lot of other asian rat snakes would be good choices (though beauties have some potential for serious attitude). There are also some American rat snakes that would be perfect as well, such as black rats and of course corns. If you can't tell, I reeeeeally like rat snakes...

Any of these have the potential to be moderately sized, active snakes that could really take advantage of all of that height!

Almost forgot the Rhino Rat!!! Beautiful, gentle semi-arboreal snakes that need to be enjoyed by more people!

Ya, you should get that much out of an FX5. I wish my lfs was as easy to work with as yours. That size tank would make a great terrarium for dart frogs, I had considered the same thing for my 125. Some Nepenthes pitcher plants would do well in that setup too.

Re: What would you do with a 100 gallon tank/terrarium?

Well, today I tore down the 100 gallon. Got $50 for them from my LFS, more than I was expecting.
The dirty glass you see is mostly the back wall. All the glass has a thin algae film that can only be seen when the tank is dry. SO I am taking a razor blade to it. Finished 85% of the front glass panel, doing the rest tomorrow or this weekend. It's going to take a few hours to finish!

The more I think about it, the more I think I want to do a Poison Dart Frog vivarium. I'm even asking my mom if she'll pick up some supplies for me while she's in the city tomorrow. If she says yes, then I guess it's official, I'm going with PDF's
