An Idea for the preservation of the Eastern Rattler
I think a good idea might be for me to start a venomous snake farm in western Ontario. I have the resources and love of snakes. I've already seen an Eastern Rattle Snake and I loved him. I want to collect every venomous snake in North America and create a habitat where they can live in peace. I generally collect snakes in jars, but I think I could open up a lot of my land for a veritable snake farm and living museum of serpentry.
What do you guys think? Do you think I could get a fund from started? Should I contact the Prime Minister?

Do you think we could go ahead and get this clown banned? He's an obvious troll, and not even an entertaining one.

I'm trying to make snakes available to the broader public. That's all.

Re: An Idea for the preservation of the Eastern Rattler
So it's a no go, eh? I wished for more support, but if I can't get it here, then I'll just go on my own way and try to sell my jars of snakes on ebay. I thought I might get support for a living snake farm, but I guess not. Sad.

Not sad, it's funny. You don't have any jars of snakes and you're just saying that to get people here riled up.
We all know you're kidding. If not, prove it.

Re: An Idea for the preservation of the Eastern Rattler
Snakes are not cattle. You do not farm them.
And if you're looking for humane ways to deal with snakes, chopping of a head is quick and reasonably painless. Suffocation is a long, slow, painful death.
Gathering snakes from an entire continent with hundreds of different climates and trying to make each of them live in one climate without reasonable regulation and (what sounds like) zero experience with husbandry, let alone all of them being venomous, is simply stupid. I don't use that word lightly.

Re: An Idea for the preservation of the Eastern Rattler
I didn't know that the snake community was so against preservation. I'll go to another community for support next time. I can't believe I got this response when wanting a good outcome.

This was my favorite line. At least he was a refreshingly funny troll.
