Greetings!
Hello Community! I recently stumbled upon this forum and it actually caught my eye. I've seen other snake forums but never wanted to join before this one. I love the simple layout and how warm everyone is so far from lurking around. This is also the first forum I have ever joined as well.
Currently im a proud owner of a California Kingsnake. But through my youth I was always going out and bringing home whatever wild snakes I could catch.
I look forward to getting to know you guys and helping out where I can.
SO.. I'm going to fire off my first question to you guys. I've noticed with a lot of posts people have an number (1.0 or 0.1) followed by type of reptile. How does that system work?
Cheers!

Re: Greetings!
Welcome aboard! The numbering system is a way of saying how many of each gender there are. The first number is the number of males, the second number is the number of females. The third number, if present, is the number of unsexed animals.
So 1.2.3 would be one male, two females, and three unknowns. Hope that helps.

Re: Greetings!
Thanks for the warm welcome guys and for explaining the numbering system.
I'll do my best to try and get a photo of my King posted ASAP.
